Mammoth Mountain in California has one of the longest ski seasons of any ski mountain in the lower forty-eight states. Cradled in a magnificent valley along the eastern slopes of California's High Sierra, Mammoth is surrounded by snow covered mountain peaks and sparkling alpine meadows. It is easy to get to Mammoth by car, plane or bus. No matter which direction you come from, it is a scenic drive via Interstate Highway 395. Other scenic drives and byways, like June Lake Loop, Mammoth Scenic Loop, and Tioga Pass are located in the area.
